Dakota Robert McFatridge

Dakota Robert McFatridge was born January 15, 1993 and is the son of Judith Sumner, Dan Mahoney, Robert McFatridge and Kim McFatridge. He has 7 siblings, Darian McFatridge, Desiray Lint, Nick Mahoney, Mercades Mahoney, Michael Johnston, Michelle Johnston and Melissa Dunn.
His awards include varsity letters for baseball and football. Throughout school, he has been involved in baseball (12), track (2), tennis (1) and football (1). His favorite things to do are baseball and skateboarding. His best memories are of going out for football and going to the team nights. His most embarrassing moment was when a flat of plants flew out of his hands in the wind when he was carrying them for Mr. Swenson.
His favorite song is “Don’t Worry” by Bob Marley. His favorite saying is, “Work hard, believe and never give up.” His gifts to underclassmen are to: Codi Townsend: “Fix your swing,” and Jarrod Kriegel: “Keep it real, don’t miss me too much.” His advice before graduating is, “Don’t wait until your senior year to get good grades.”
Dakota’s biggest inspirations are his dad and Tyler Lown. His dad inspired him by getting him interested in baseball when he was young and encouraging him. Tyler Lown has encouraged him because he’s been helping him graduate.
Dakota is excited to graduate because he can’t wait for the summer and is ready to be on his own in college. His plan for college is to go to Ellsworth in Iowa Falls to play baseball. In ten years, he sees himself still playing baseball.
