Alexa Ann Wheaton

Alexa Ann Wheaton was born August 24, 1993 and is the daughter of Bob and Kasie Taylor and Harold Wheaton. She has three sisters, Destiney, Tiffanny and Kylee.
Her awards and achievements in high school include: A and B Honor Roll, 2nd place Conduct of Meetings, 3rd place Soils, 1st place Ag Communications, 3rd place individual Ag Communications and 1st place Business Management for State FFA. For National FFA, she received 3rd place Ag Communication and 4th place Business Management. Throughout high school, Alexa has been involved in FFA (4), Speech & Drama (4), Student Council (1), dance (15) and yearbook (4).
Alexa’s favorite things to do are hang out with friends, shop and travel. Her best memories are from dressing up with the girls for games and riding in a cop car with SeƱora Stockman and Brittany Bryan during the Spanish trip to Chicago. Her most embarrassing moment was when she gave a presentation in front of her class and her “fly” was down.
Her favorite song is “Better Than” by John Butler Trio. Her favorite shows are Army Wives and anything on Lifetime. Her favorite saying is, “Life is a coin; you can spend it anyway you want, but you can only spend it once.”
Alexa says her biggest inspiration is, “Cathe Wilson for always being there and encouraging me to try new things and do my best. I hope to someday be half the person she is. Thanks for everything!”
Her gifts to underclassmen are to Kylee Taylor: “Be all you can be and never give up! And remember to wake Tiff up in the morning!” and Reece McCaslen: “Continue working hard at everything, have the ability to survive your everyday life without me, don’t throw too many darts at your mom and dad and, oh yeah, go Buckeyes!”
Alexa is somewhat excited to graduate; she is excited to start a new chapter in her life but is not excited to move away from her friends and family. Her advice before graduating is, “Always do your best and enjoy every minute of high school because it really does go as fast as everyone says!”
Her college plans are to attend Central College in the fall and double major in elementary education and special education. Her goals in the future are to finish college, begin teaching elementary and hopefully travel to other countries to help children.
In ten years, Alexa sees herself married, maybe with children and teaching somewhere as great as Montezuma School!
