Shannon Lynn Sutfin was born on April 10, 1993 and is the daughter of Bill and Tammy Sutfin. She has two brothers, Brandon and Bryant.
Her awards and achievements from FFA at state have consisted of: 2nd place conduct of meetings, 3rd place soils, 1st place ag communications and 1st place business management. At FFA Nationals they have been: 4th place business management and 3rd place ag communications. Other achievements have been the National Honor Society and the A-honor roll for 4 years.
Her favorite hobby is dance, and her extracurricular activities have been basketball (4), volleyball (4), winterguard (4) dance (14) Track (2) and FFA (4).
Her best memories in high school have been going to football games, Pagliai’s and having sleepovers with the girls. Her most embarrassing moment was when “Hilary, Damon, Devon and I went to go pick out tuxes for prom at Three Sisters and as I was getting out of Hilary’s car my pants ripped all the way down my rear end. I had to help pick out tuxes with my shirt pulled down to cover the big rip!”
Shannon’s favorite T.V. show is America’s Funniest Home Videos, and her favorite saying is “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.” –Marilyn Monroe.
Her biggest inspiration is her mother and her gift to underclassmen goes to Aly James and Shena Bryan - “Keep doin’ your thang in dance next year. Expect a call every Thursday night from me.” And to Bryant Sutfin - “I’m sure you’ll get away with even more as soon as I’m gone, but have fun! Miss you, little brother!”
Her advice to everyone is “know where you want to go to college and what you want to do before it is crunch time. It’s never too late to start planning for your future.”
Shannon plans on attending Grandview College for four years, pass her state boards and become a registered nurse. She is excited for graduation because she wants to get into the world and experience the “college life.”
