Katurah Arial McKee

Katurah Arial McKee was born August 23, 1993 and is the daughter of Rodney and Roxann McKee. She has one brother, Tyler. She is also known as Katy, KT and K-Swizz.
Her awards and achievements include: A and B honor roll, 1st in State Ag Communications and Business Management, 2010 Girls State Representative, 3rd in National Ag Communication and becoming the 2010 Homecoming Queen. She has been involved in FFA (4), basketball (4), Speech & Drama (4), National Honor Society (3), volleyball (4), track (2) and Colorguard (3).
Her favorite things to do are work out with the senior girls, eat apples, shop and watch movies, especially Harry Potter
Her best memories are of going to all of the baseball games with Teona and Hope, just being around everyone she has known for so long and making countless memories. She has way too many embarrassing memories to count; when her face is red it usually means she is embarrassed or laughing, which is a daily occurrence.
Her biggest inspiration is her mom because she has taught her to persevere to achieve her goals, be strong and always keep her faith in God. Katurah’s favorite movie is Pocahontas. Her favorite songs are anything that she can sing and dance to. Her favorite saying is, “The world looks brighter from behind a smile.”
Katurah is excited to graduate because it will be the beginning of the rest of her life. Her advice before graduating is, “Never live down to expectations, go through high school and do something remarkable.”
Her goals in the future are to work in another country with less fortunate children as a nurse practitioner. Her plans for college are to attend UNI for pre-nursing. In ten years, she sees herself somewhere in the city, doing her thing and just living her life to the fullest.
