Calli Ann Zimmerman is the daughter of David and Ellen Zimmerman. Calli was born on March 7, 1993 and has 2 sisters: Courtney Borwig and Cari Reider.
Calli’s favorite activities are singing, dancing, hanging out with friends and babysitting her favorite nephew, Keegan.
Calli says her best memory at Montezuma was getting to know everyone her senior year and being included in things like senior girls’ breakfast and homecoming activities.
Calli has been involved in: volleyball (2), pom squad (3), softball (1), FFA (3), cheerleading (3) and speech (2) at English Valleys. In Montezuma, she has been involved in: speech and drama (1) and FFA (1).
Her awards and achievements have included: A and B honor roll, National Honor Society, 5 varsity letters, Girls State representative and Team Dance Academy best showmanship.
Calli’s most embarrassing memory while attending high school was performing at Vets Auditorium for state dance competition and ripping her jeans.
Calli enjoys watching Whose Line is it Anyway, American Pickers and The Red Green Show.
Her biggest inspiration is her daddy because he always does things without her having to ask. He takes on many responsibilities and always finishes them no matter what time it is.
Calli’s gift to underclassmen is to Kendra Cranston: “This year flies; do your work and have fun because we can never repeat the past.” Her advice before graduating is, “Do well in your first couple of years because it will bite you in the rear when applying for scholarships.”
“Flying is simple. All you have to do is throw yourself at the ground and miss,” is one of Calli’s favorite quotes.
Calli is somewhat excited to graduate; she is ready for the change but doesn’t look forward to doing her own laundry.
Calli plans to go open-minded to Iowa State University in the fall but is focusing on agriculture businesses or Economics. She hopes to be happy and successful in the future.
Ten years from now Calli hopes to be married to an amazing man with a good job who can cook and have a nice house.
