Garrett Alan Van Maanen



Garrett Alan Van Maanen was born on June 8, 1993 and is the son of Jeff Van Maanen and Skye Davis. He has two older sisters, Cassidy Van Maanen and Hannah Bro, and one older brother, Jaron Van Maanen.
His favorite hobby is hanging out with friends and family.
Garrett’s extracurricular activities are baseball (1), basketball (1), school play (1), Speech and Drama (1), track and field (2), and shooting (3).
He says his most memorable moment was being in the play “Murder in the Knife Room,” because it was fun.
His funniest moment was when he dressed up as a cheerleader during homecoming and cheered for the senior powder puff team.
Garrett says his biggest inspiration is his brother because of his achievements, and even though he is always busy, he finds time to help with anything.
Garrett’s favorite quote is, “What does not destroy me makes me strong.”
His gift to underclassmen goes to Lex Jack: “Thank you for helping me out, and if you need anything, let me know.” To Wyatt Jack, he says, “Go to law school. You love to argue, even if you don’t know what you are talking about.” 
He says his goals for the future are to go to college for his general education courses and to apply for law school.
Garrett says he’s excited for graduation because he wants to be able to go out and see more outside of a small town.

Karley Jo Cronbaugh


Karley Jo Cronbaugh was born on April 4, 1994 and is the daughter of Scott Cronbaugh and Tammy Pierce. She has two siblings, Kristin Snook and Kari Snook. 
Karley’s favorite hobby is spending time with her friends and family. Her best memories while attending MHS are getting ready for football games with the girls.  
Karley’s biggest inspiration is her mom.
Her gift to underclassmen is, “Stay in school, no matter how much you hate it!”
Karley’s favorite quote is, “If you have time to lean, you have time to clean.”
Her plans for the future are to go to Capri College, to become a hairstylist and to open her own salon. 
Karley is excited for graduation, so she can get out of Montezuma and start a new life.

Zachary Taylor Price



Zachary Taylor Price was born on June 22, 1994 and is the son of Todd and Brenda Price. He has three siblings, Breanna, Logan and Kierstyn Price. 
Zach’s extracurricular activities include shooting sports (5), football (3), basketball (2), track (1) and Speech & Drama (1). His favorite activity is hunting, and his best memories while attending MHS come from being with his friends. 
Zach’s gift to underclassmen goes to his brother Logan, “Do not let anyone hold you back. Go for your dreams, but, on the way, don’t forget who your friends are.”
His favorite quote is, “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” 
Zach is undecided about his plans for the future, but he is excited to graduate, because he is ready to see what life has to bring for him

Alexis Brie Ferguson



Alexis Brie Ferguson was born on April 10, 1994 and is the daughter of Lex and Colette Ferguson. She has a sister, Stephani, and a brother, Cory, who are both older.
Alexis has received A and B honor roll, 1st Team All-Conference volleyball, 1st Team All-Conference softball, 1st Team All-District softball, 2nd Team All-State softball, Honorable Mention All-Conference in volleyball and softball, state track qualifier in the 4x100 and 4x800, 2010 State Champion Ag. sales team, 2010 11th nationally Ag. sales team, 2011 Ag. sales individual state runner up, and 2010 All-State recognition speech and drama choral reading.   
Her hobbies are spending time with family, friends, going shopping and playing sports.
Her extracurricular activities are the school play (1), softball (4), track (3), FFA (4), basketball (4), volleyball (4), Speech and Drama (4) and National Honor Society (2).
She says her most memorable moment was changing history and making so many memories with the 2010-2011 Montezuma volleyball team members.
Alexis’s funniest moment was when Aly James fell down from their cheerleading stunt attempt in volleyball practice and landed directly on her face.
Her biggest inspiration is her mom for always supporting her in everything she does and helping her with anything she ever needed. “I love you to the moon and back, Mom!”
Alexis’s gift to underclassmen goes to: all Bravettes: “Take pride in wearing a Montezuma uniform and work hard everyday to better yourself,” and Alex Brenner: “The ability to stay on your own two feet next year in volleyball.”
Her favorite quote is from Phillipians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” 
Alexis says she is excited to graduate because she can’t wait to see what her future has to offer and meet all the new people.

Kyle Alan Schlesslman


Kyle Alan Schlesselman was born on Feb. 18, 1994, and is the son Robert and Heidi Schlesselman. He has two brothers, Devin and Brady Schlesselman. 
Kyle’s extracurricular activities are basketball (1), and his favorite activity is making music. His favorite experience while attending MHS was riding scooters in P.E. with Mr. Rabenold. 
Kyle’s funniest moment during school was when Cheyenne Vogt accidentally hit Matthew Duggan in the face at a school dance. When asked what his biggest inspiration was, he said that inspiration comes on it’s own, and to be your own inspiration. 
Kyle’s gift to underclassmen is “Don’t think you can’t do what you can, nothing is impossible”. His favorite quote is “Only God can judge me”.
Kyle is excited for graduation because he is ready to start his new life. His plans for the future are to be a police officer or a music producer.

Cameron Jordan Shaver



Cameron (Cami) Jordan Shaver was born on July 2, 1994, and is the daughter of Chris and Greg Shaver. She has one brother, Jacob Shaver.
Cami’s extracurricular activities include softball (2), volleyball (2) and Journalism (2). Her favorite hobbies include taking pictures, going to Oskaloosa for Chinese and hanging out with friends. Her best experiences while attending MHS are everything since she’s moved here besides the drama. 
Cami’s biggest inspiration is her mom. 
Cami’s gift to underclassmen goes to her brother: Kick butt and have fun, these are the best years of your life. 
Her favorite quote is, “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
Cami’s plans for the future are to go to the University of Iowa and major in photography.

Taylor Nicole Gregson



Taylor Nicole Gregon was born on October 28, 1993, and is the daughter of Brett and Teri Johnson. She has one sister, Jamie Nelson.
Taylor’s  extracurricular activities are FCCLA (2), Speech & Drama (2), Cheerleading (1), FFA (1) and waitressing at Hometown (4). 
She has received the A and B Honor Roll all four years of high school and an All-State Honorable Mention in Speech & Drama. 
Her most memorable moments were study halls with Mrs. Rempp. 
Taylor’s gift to underclassmen is ‘Keep your grades up and make the most of these years; it will become the time of your life’. 
Her favorite quote is “It always pays to be proud of who you are”. 
Her future plans are to go to college, hopefully own her own restaurant, and live happily with 1000 cats.
